Do I need a full survival kit?
Most government and emergency organizations recommend having an emergency kit on hand for natural disasters. The recommended items vary depending on what kind of emergencies are common in your area, but we cover most of the basics.We provide several ready-to-go kits, like our GBU kit for smaller emergencies, all the way to our two-man 7-day DELTA kit.
Do I really need two different ways to make fire?
At least two! In emergencies, two is one and one is none. Fire is one of the primary means of surviving long-term. We include multiple tools in our premade kits because fire is needed for purifying water, preparing food, and staying warm.
How many hours should I plan for my kit?
This will depend on your location. Some remote locations will receive aid after a much longer wait period, depending on the natural disaster. If you need help selecting a kit, use our contact form.
How do I purify water?
Water can be purified through a combination of methods. Filtering, boiling, and using water purification tablets are all ways that water can be rendered safe to drink. Some situations may require using all three methods.
